are two types of insurance agents:
*Captive Agents, who work for one company
*Independent
Agents, who own their business and do not work directly for any insurance
company.

agent can offer you a wide variety of coverage options that can be customized to your specialized needs. We represent
several companies, and can offer you the best combination of price and coverage. Choosing the right agent is much like
choosing a family doctor. As your needs change over time, we will be able to make adjustments to your policies
to make sure you are protected. We can explain the options available, and answer your questions. Independent
agents are not employees of the insurance company and therefore can serve your best interests.
Our History
The Edwards Agency has been in operation for thirty-seven years. Steady growth over the past thirteen
years has created the agency we are today.
Today we have eight insurance professionals to serve all of your
needs. We also have two offices conveniently located in Sumiton and Jasper.
